Meet Your Guide


Hello my name is Doug Childers, owner/guide of Divided Sky fly-fishing. In the last 17 years I have embraced a handful of outdoor activities since moving to Lake Tahoe, but none so compelling as fly-fishing.

It all started many years ago while cooking at a fishing lodge in Southeast Alaska (Baranof Wilderness Lodge) that I was exposed to fly-fishing. Needless to say, I've pursued it with reckless abandon and have become very passionate about fly-fishing, and I would like to share that enthusiasm with you.

I have fished both the Truckee, Little Truckee, and other surrounding waters extensively, and feel that I would be the perfect host for your Tahoe area fly fishing trip.
